Accessible Books Consortium Course on Accessible Publishing Concepts
This is a free introductory course designed to introduce publishers to accessible publishing, although it is also suitable for a broad audience. The course explores what accessible publishing means, who benefits, and how to get started. This course was commissioned by the Accessible Books Consortium.
Creating Accessible Digital Audio Books
This course guides learners through the steps required to create accessible digital talking books in DAISY format using Obi, the free digital audio book authoring tool from DAISY Consortium.
Accessible Word Documents
Microsoft Word documents offer the potential to build accessibility into the foundation of your content, enabling direct access via Word and also conversion to other accessible formats. This course introduces how to make accessible Word documents, encompassing many of the features used in education, business, and publishing.
Accessible EPUB with WordToEPUB
The free DAISY WordToEPUB tool enables the creation of accessible EPUB files from Microsoft Word documents. This short course will help you get started, from installing the tool to creating your first EPUB file, as well as introducing some of the more advanced features of the tool.
World Blind Union – Marrakesh Treaty Advocacy Course
This course was developed with support from the World Blind Union as a free resource to aid the adoption of the Marrakesh Treaty which is an international legal instrument intended to support people with print disabilities gaining to access works protected by copyright.
